Legends Bank’s Commitment to Community Shines at the Annual Bill Hoy Kiwanis Rodeo
Community service is at the heart of Legends Bank, and each year, that commitment is on full display through the bank’s involvement in the annual Bill Hoy Kiwanis Rodeo, one of Clarksville’s most beloved traditions.
Each year, the Bill Hoy Kiwanis Rodeo brings thousands of people together for three nights of PRCA-sanctioned rodeo action, family fun, and community spirit. This year’s rodeo returns May 14–16, 2026, at the 4H Arena on Rossview Road, with gates opening nightly at 5:30 p.m. and rodeo action beginning at 7:30 p.m.
But behind the excitement in the arena is a deeper purpose: raising funds for programs that benefit children across Montgomery County through literacy initiatives, scholarships, wellness programs, and service projects led by the Kiwanis Club of Clarksville. As a proud longtime supporter of the rodeo, Legends Bank has embraced that mission in a big way.
The rodeo itself carries special significance for Legends through Bill Hoy, former Legends Bank employee and community leader whose vision helped establish this beloved Clarksville tradition. Hoy played an instrumental role in bringing the rodeo to Clarksville, helping create an event that has impacted generations of local families while supporting children across the community.
From sponsorship support to hands-on volunteerism, Legends employees consistently play an active role in helping make the rodeo a success. In past years alone, dozens of Legends team members have volunteered across the three-night event each time, selling tickets, assisting with logistics, coordinating operations, and helping create a memorable experience for thousands of attendees.
For Brandon Bridges, VP & Commercial Lender, the rodeo represents something deeply personal. With more than a decade of service to the Kiwanis Club of Clarksville, including ten years on the board, Brandon’s dedication to the rodeo and its mission has helped strengthen its impact on local families. His leadership was recognized when he was named the 2023–2024 Kiwanian of the Year.
“The Kiwanis Rodeo is more than just a great event—it’s about giving back,” said Bridges. “Seeing families enjoy the rodeo while knowing the proceeds support local children makes it all the more rewarding. Bill was instrumental in bringing the rodeo to Clarksville, and it has shaped so many memories for me over the years. I’m just grateful to play a part in continuing that legacy. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that both Bill and I, two civic-minded people, are part of the Legends Bank family—that’s who we are. We care about our community, just like Legends Bank does.”
During the 35th annual rodeo two years ago, Legends Bank President & CEO Tommy Bates and Brandon Bridges honored Hoy with a custom rodeo shirt and belt buckle in recognition of his lasting impact on the community.
Today, that legacy continues through Legends’ growing team involvement, including employees who help organize the Miracle Rodeo, secure sponsorships, coordinate volunteers, and support the many moving parts required to welcome thousands of rodeo fans each year.
